Chapter 14: Believe in Jack
Jack hadn't moved since he whispered the words, so [Name] moved her head to look over at Jack, and noticed he fell asleep on her shoulder. He must've been tired.
[Name] looked back up at the ceiling, thinking about what had happened. She sighed, she didn't want to wake up Jack, and so she sat still for a few hours before Jack finally stirred.
"Good morning, sleepyhead." [Name] smiled, looking over as Jack's silver-blue eyes began to blink open. Jack just stared at her, and then his face turned red as he bolted back upward, his hand on his forehead.
"Aaagh! I'm sorry; I know that was strange of me last night…"
"Last night? More like a few hours ago" [Name] laughed as she sat up, but then noticed Jack's face was bright red with embarrassment. "Hey, it's alright… I…" How would she say it? I love you? I really like you? I'm glad you did?
Jack looked over at her, his face still red as he leaned forward and let the tip of his nose brush against hers. "You like me, too… That way?"
[Name] smiled and nodded, it was a strange feeling, having his nose pressed against her while her face was radiating heat from her blush. "I—I'd hold you up above everyone."
Jack smiled; it was almost like his eyes were gleaming. He pulled her into an embrace, having to bend his knees a little to match her height. [Name] buried her face into his hair; she couldn't believe this was happening to her. It was as if nothing else mattered anymore.
[Name] looked up in shock when her mom walked into her room, staring at her like crazy.
"Why are you hugging the air?"
[Name] looked at Jack and sighed, "You can't see him."
"Who?"
"Jack Frost."
[Name]'s mom sighed angrily. "We've had this conversation, [Name]. Jack Frost isn't real, I just tease you by saying he's nipping at your nose—"
"He's real." [Name] stared at her mom with a completely serious face. "I know I never believed him before, but he's real, and I can prove it."
[Name]'s mom leaned against the doorway, staring at her daughter. "I'm waiting."
[Name] pulled away from Jack, her hand catching in his as it fell, "Can you make it snow in my room? Just this once to get her to believe me?"
Jack smiled at her and pulled his hand out of hers, lifting it up in front of him. A small snowflake appeared, causing [Name]'s mom to rub her eyes in shock at the floating snowflake, which then exploded into a million pieces. Snowflakes began to fall from the ceiling.
[Name]'s mom slowly lifted off of the door panel, and walked forwards into the room, "I—it really is snow…" She then looked down and finally saw Jack Frost, clasping her hands over her mouth. "I—it really is Jack Frost."
[Name] and Jack couldn't help but smile at her mom's shock. Then noticed her mom's expression changed when she thought back to when she walked back into the room. "But why were you hugging him so passionately? Your face was red as a tomato, and you looked so happy…"
Jack smiled and laced his fingers with [Name] looking over at her. [Name] smiled at him and looked back at her mother, who was now looking at them with her jaw dropped.
"You… and a Spirit… In a relationship…?"
[Name] looked down at her feet, but was still smiling. "I'm not ashamed to be with Jack at all, mom." She looked up at Jack, "He makes me happy, I've known him for about a year now. He confessed to me last night."
[Name]'s mom's eyes widened in shock, she sighed and turned around, walking out of the door. [Name] heard her mutter under her breath, "How are you going to have children?"
This hit [Name]. How would she have children? She knew she never thought about it, but the thought of being with someone that she couldn't have kids with…
[Name] shook her head and looked up at Jack. She sighed to herself, what was she thinking? Jack was much, much better than having children someday. But she noticed that Jack was staring at the door with sad eyes.
"It's true; you might not be able to have kids with me. I'm not sure if my reproductive system still works…"
[Name]'s face turned bright red and she shoved him, "S-stop! I'm too young to have kids right now anyway. We'll find a way to make it work, alright?"
But Jack still had his sad eyes on, which were now pointed towards the floor. "What about the fact that I don't age?"
[Name] stopped and stared at him, thinking about it. She would grow old and die, but Jack…
[Name] shook her head and pushed Jack softly again, "Stop it! That's not for a long, long time now, okay? We'll find a way to make it work." She repeated.
Jack looked over at her, his eyes turning back into their usually gleeful state. [Name] smiled and patted his face, "That's the Jack I know."
[Name] pecked him on the cheek, "Come on, let's go for a walk."
Jack smiled and followed her out the door, grabbing her hand as he went by.
"Sounds perfect."
XD lol
Thank you so much, i didn't think this fic was that good <:3c
But seriously, I'd pretty much go something like "Hey mom! I'm in a relationship with Jack Frost!" and she'd probably say "Oh, okay.
My mom would probably do the same thing, so you're not alone xD
Lmao, yay! I'm not the only one with a mom like this!
